What do people say about HCMI Workshops?

Over the 30 years that I have played the cello, I felt myself to be an orchestra person and could not (or would not) hear the marvelous connections and the beautiful intimacy that are constant in great chamber works. I have opened up to the equal power of chamber music and have The Heart of Chamber Music Institute to thank. The Institute helped to change my outlook on music and as a result has improved the quality of my life immeasurably.
— An amateur cellist, a furniture mover
....Sometime, somewhere a startling revelation began to evolve. I never mastered all the fingerings, and bowings and intonation, but I had always played from the heart and to other people's hearts. I learned to speak with my viola and let the music speak to me.
— Anna, a violist, wrote this after spending a week in Paris with The Heart of Chamber Music Institute program in July, 2001.
